The Irrawaddy is the largest and most important river in Burma (Myanmar). It flows from north to south, through the Irrawaddy Delta, emptying into the Andaman Sea.Along the banks of the Irrawaddy, river cruise guests will see rice growing, fishermen plying their nets, and golden stupas (spires) dotting the landscape.
